InFocus is built to be private by default. The short version: the app collects no personal data, has no analytics, and requires no account — and this website uses only essential purchase storage and runs no trackers.

What the app does on your Mac

InFocus uses the macOS Accessibility permission to read the position and size of windows so it can draw a highlight around the focused one. It does not read window contents, text, or keystrokes. Your settings (colors, effects, trial state) and your license record are stored locally on your Mac (in preferences and the macOS Keychain) and never leave it, except as described below.

The only network calls the app makes

• License activation and validation. When you activate or use a license, InFocus contacts Dodo Payments' licensing API and sends your license key and your Mac's device name (so you can recognize which of your Macs a license is active on). The app also checks the product identifier with our site to ensure the key belongs to InFocus.
• Update checks. InFocus periodically checks for new versions using the Sparkle updater. It fetches a small XML feed from infocus.mattmade.ai and, if there is an update, downloads it from our file store on Vercel. These are ordinary web requests; nothing about you or your Mac is sent with them, and no account or identifier is involved.

That's the complete list. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting service, and no third-party SDK that collects data.

Essential purchase records

Our site stores checkout and payment references, licence status and purchase-consent evidence: the exact text and version, its fingerprint, server time, IP address and browser user agent. An essential 30-day buyer cookie groups checkout retries; session storage keeps a pending checkout reference for recovery. These are used to complete purchases and resolve billing problems, not for advertising. We do not store card details.

Purchases — handled by Dodo Payments

Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments as the merchant of record. When you buy InFocus, Dodo Payments collects and processes the information needed to complete the sale (such as your email address, payment details, and billing country for tax purposes), provides your license key on the confirmation page and in your account, and handles taxes and refund processing. We do not receive or store your payment details. See the Dodo Payments privacy policy for how they handle your data.

This website

This site uses static pages and server routes for checkout, licence recovery and purchase verification. It uses the essential storage described above, embeds no analytics and runs no advertising trackers. Hosting infrastructure may process standard technical request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site.
